Otis S. Weber Etching Print

Item Details

Although little is know about artist Otis S. Webster, sailing and maritime art was his passion. This copyrighted 1887 print is pencil signed by the artist in the lower right hand corner. It renders a harbor full of boats, most docked but two that are out and about. One appears to be a fishing boat headed out to sea and the other is a small row boat with two passengers. In the fore front a man has cast his line in hopes of catching his meal for the day. The wharf is rustic but sturdy. This looks to be late 19th or early 20th century. The frame is a gold patina.
