Japanese "Cherry Blossom" Gold Lustreware Collection
Item Details
A Japanese gold-toned luster ware dinner set in the Cherry Blossom pattern, circa 1930s. Included are four demitasse cups, eight cups, eleven saucers, a tea pot, a coffee pot, two larger creamers, one smaller creamer and matching lidded sugar, twelve medium plates, and an extra lid. Each piece has an orange to gold luster appearance with pearlescent interiors to the container vessels and cups. Each has a pattern of small white blossoms with green accentsand black tree branches with delicate white buds. Marked ‘R.S. Made in Japan’ to underside, with a red inked rising sun motif.
