Salvador Dalí Wood Engraving "Hell Canto 23"

A wood engraving from the French edition after a watercolor from Dali’s (1904-1989) highly-famed series Divine Comedy. This print is titled Hell Canto 23. It depicts several abstracted figures and shadows emerging from a mysterious rock formation. The silhouette of a character in a crown and veil stands prominently at the top of the rocks. The print is also stamped ‘This is an authentic --unsigned—— woodblock print by Salvador Dali from the Divine Comedy series, 1964 Salvador Dali Archives Ltd. / NYC’ and signed in pencil ‘Albert Field’ by Albert Field, Dalí expert and author of the authoritative “Official Catalog of The Graphic Works of Salvador Dalí”; providing additional authentication of the work. The print is matted in white and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with hand-painted green detail and gold tone finishes. A hanging wire is attached to the verso for hanging.
