Pair of Large Antique Japanese Folding Screen

Pair of large antique Japanese folding screens. Each screen features six hinged panels that each show a different handpainted landscape of Japan. Both sections feature a black protective edging, decorative fabric borders, and handpainted linen style portion to center of each panel. Blue color to backing which shows fading. One screen has scenes of a snowy mountain, beach, brilliantly hued tree, small hut on river, river with boat, and waterfall. The other side has scenes of a mountain’s edge, willow tree, garden path, a body of water with a peaceful mountain, ocean scene, and a cherry blossom tree. Each is signed in a lower corner. Circa 1920s.
