A three volume set of A Popular History of France, From The Earliest Times was written by M. Guizot (Estes & Lauriat, Boston). The books contain 300 illustrations by A. De Neuville, several of which are tissue guarded. The illustrations are wood-cuts and steel engravings. The books are three-quarter bound leather with marbled paper covers. The front and back endpapers and text blocks are marbled.

Condition

Normal wear for age usage. The front hinge of one volume is cracked. Foxing and fading are evident. Some markings throughout the text.
