Antique "Conquest of Mexico", 3 Volumes
Item Details
An antique three volume set of History Of the Conquest Of Mexico, With A Preliminary View Of the Ancient Mexican Civilization, And the Life Of the Conqueror, Hernando Cortes, written by William H. Prescott, was published by David McKay, Philadelphia. Each is three-quarter leather bound in tan with corner caps and marbled paper covers. The spines are gilt lettered and have five raised bars. The endpapers are marbled and the top text edges are gilt. The frontispiece in each is tissue guarded.
Condition
Normal wear for age and usage. The bindings are tight, and the text is clean. Foxing and fading are evident.
