Vintage Titles Including First Editions

A large collection of vintage books with first editions included. The largely hardback collection includes books by noted authors including Ernest Hemingway. A 1940 edition of For Whom The Bell Tolls was published by Charles Scribner’s Sons in New York. A book by Henry Van Dyke entitled The Man Behind the Book has a highly decorated front cover with purple grapes, vines, and flowers bordered in gilt. The lettering is gilt on the spine and cover. Also in the collection is The Forsyte Saga by John Galsworthy (Charles Scribner’s Sons, New York, 1934). This Modern Standard Author’s book contains three volumes in one. First editions and noted authors are in this vintage book collection.

Condition

Condition ranges from good to fair consistent with age and usage. Fraying, fading, and foxing may be evident. Books may contain the previous owner’s names or bookseller’s labels on the front covers.
