Vintage Handmade Floral Needlepoint Rug

Item Details

A striking vintage needlepoint floral area rug. The rug is designed with a black center field which is populated with both round scrollwork medallions and extravagant flower clusters in an array of colors, with a variety of beautiful flower types illustrated. A wide border in cream is distinguished with canary yellow and gold scallops, red and green foliate scrolls and gold and green stylized floral forms, with a narrow black band framing the entire rug. The rug is finished with an off white woven band to the outside border of the underside.

fair, wear consistent with age and use, corner has moisture damage with considerable color bleed
