Vintage Oxidized Siam Sterling Bracelets

Item Details

A trio of vintage oxidized Siam sterling bracelets. Siam sterling, or Nielloware, is created by baking sulfur or a metal powder into areas of silver that have been carved; it often depicts Buddhist and Hindu images. Two of the bracelets depict alternating images of Mekkala, Ramasoon, and Lord Rama, characters from the Hindu scripture Bhagavad Gita. The third bracelet depicts alternating images of Mekkala, Ramasoon, and a dancing angel. The bracelets are 8’ in length and weigh 2.379 ozt.
