Unterweissbach Germany Dresden Lace Porcelain Ladies Figurine

Item Details

An Unterweissbach Germany Dresden lace porcelain ladies figurine. An exquisite figurine, from 1986 to 1990, depicting two ladies lounging on a large rock by a tree. Features one woman with hand painted hat and white lace ruffled gown. She is leaning against a woman with a pink hair bow with a pink ruffled lace gown holding a song bird in her hand. Both ladies have bare feet in the intricately detailed green grass on a white porcelain base with painted gold luster detailing and ogee feet. Their gowns are formed by a technique called Dresden lace, where artists dip lace fabric in slip and hand applying it to the figurine, which would burn up in the kiln leaving the delicate porcelain behind.
