Robert Mitchell Mahogany Hepplewhite Style Chest of Drawers

A Robert Mitchell Furniture Co. Hepplewhite ribbon mahogany dresser, circa 1905. The dresser has an oval mirror to the top mounted on stiles with wood-capped finials. The dresser is designed with three small drawers over four larger drawers, each with string inlay. The top three drawers have ornate round brass pulls and a keyhole with skeleton key. The drawers have machine-cut dovetail construction, keyholes and simple square brass bale pulls. The piece is finished with slightly tapered legs, the front legs having ormolu gold-toned decoration with brass capped feet. Tagged to the inside ‘From the Robert Mitchell Furniture Company, Cincinnati, Ohio.’
