An unframed signed limited edition lithograph titled Soft Pencil Sharpener,1989, by the well-listed and renowned Swedish-born whimsical artist Claes Oldenburg (New York, 1929 -), who became one of America’s leading Pop artists. The image is printed in five colors on white, thick, slightly textured Somerset 410 HP paper with a deckled edge. Rendered in Oldenburg’s trademark eccentric style, the sharpener and pencil are comical, their edges relaxed and floppy. Numbered in pencil 24 of 75 to the lower left, signed and dated by the artist to the lower right.
