"The Polar Run'" Limited Edition Print By Bryan Moon

A signed and limited edition photo offset lithograph after a pastel portrait by British born artist Bryan Moon (1928-2015). The piece is titled The Polar Run and depicts a profile of an Alaskan sled dog, Ciarnuk, after reaching the North Pole with the Steger International Polar Expedition on May 1, 1986. The piece is signed ‘Moon’ to the lower left-hand corner and numbered ‘487/1200’ to the lower left-hand corner and in pencil by Moon, Ann K Bancroft, W Steger, and Carl Schuke. It is presented under glass with a triple mat in a gold metal frame; ready to hang. Moon joined the British Royal Air Force, and then graduated from the Southampton College of Art. He worked for Northwest Airlines for many years and after his retirement he pursued his love of art.
