An unframed signed limited edition aquatint etching on rag paper with deckled edges titled The Universe Mender II, dated 1990, by well-listed and renowned Neo-Expressionist David Salle (New York, 1952 -), known for creating paintings that juxtapose seemingly unrelated images, often sexually oriented, from mass media. This image depicts a series of images layered on top of one another, including a woman’s face, a nude reclined woman, and a clown. The print is marked II and numbered 32 of 50 in pencil to the lower left, and signed by the artist and dated in pencil to the lower right. This print is not framed, presented in a clear vinyl sleeve with cardboard support.
