Antique Eastlake Rocking Chair Circa 1890's

An Eastlake rocking chair circa 1890’s. The piece is constructed from walnut. The crest has a shell motif with a accenting with acanthus leaves leading to the molded stiles. The chair has been upholstered in a paisley fabric and accented in a burgundy welt cording. The arm has been carved with an acanthus leaf design in a scroll like design. The seat is upholstered in the same paisley fabric. The side rails have been carved with a scroll liked design. The entire piece rests on casters and is unmarked by the manufacturer.
