Item Details
An antique engraving published by Gleason’s Drawing-Room Companion in 1853. The work was engraved by Adolf Eltzner and depicts an imaginative reconstruction of Biblical Jerusalem. Traditional sites and scenes from both the New and Old Testament can be found. Solomon’s Temple is the central focus of the work. A detailed legend can be seen below the main image with pre-Christian and apocryphal sites noted. The engraving is matted and encased in a wood frame under glass. A wire hanger is installed on the verso.

- slight scuffing to frame. slight foxing to mat.
