Antique "Les Modes Parisiennes" Tinted Engraving

An antique hand-colored engraving titled Les Modes Parisiennes from the July, 1868 edition of Peterson’s Magazine, a popular American fashion magazine that was printed from (1842-1898). The print depicts five women in Victorian-style dresses standing along a coast. The piece’s title and publishing information are printed in the lower margin. It is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with gold tone finish and a hanging string to the verso.

Condition

- darkening to paper and crease to center from folding in original publication. Wear to frame. Condition is consistent with age.
