Black Lacquer Paper Mache Trinket Boxes

Item Details

Two papier mache black lacquer Russian painted trinket boxes. The first box is painted with the story of the Russian Frog Princess by Volkov in the village of Palekh. The second box is also painted by Volkov from the Palekh village in Russia. Both boxes are lined with red lacquer interior. Also included is a book about the Palekh and the art of the Russian lacquered papier mache box.
