A signed Aaron Sopher (1905-1972) pen and ink drawing with watercolor painting. The work depicts a figure with long, shaggy swept red hair wearing a loose shirt and tight pants with a heeled boot. The artist’s signature is printed to the right corner of the work in black ink. The work is matted and encased in a brown wood frame under glass. A wire hanger is installed on the verso. Aaron Sopher is a Baltimore-based artist whose work appeared in major publications such as The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, The Wall Street Journal and many more. His works have been on exhibit at many institutions such as Library of Congress, New York Public Library, San Francisco Museum of Art, Maryland Institute College of Art and The Carnegie Institute.
