Antique Vermeil Gold Plate Carved Carnelian Cameo on Chain

An antique Victorian (late 1800’s) sterling silver vermeil (gold plate marked 1/20 12 KT GF over sterling) hand carved bezel set Carnelian shell cameo pendant with twisted rope edge banding and fully reticulated hinged bail. The contemporary pin brooch has been added on by a jeweler at a later date. The pendant is suspended on a patinated scroll chain with spring ring safety closure.
