Walter Whitehead "Liberty Bonds" Poster on Board
Item Details
A Liberty Bonds (1918) poster on board designed by Walter Whitehead (1874-1956). This poster dates to the World War I era and depicts a soldier in a fighting stance holding a firearm with an attached trench knife. The words ‘Come On!’ can be seen to the right of the soldier. The poster is encased in a red and gilded wood frame without glass. A wire hanger is attached to the verso.
Condition
- creasing to paper. Tears to some edges. Consistent with age.
