1814 "The Border Antiquities of England and Scotland" by Sir Walter Scott in Two Volumes
Item Details
A pair of hardcover volumes titled Border Antiquities of England and Scotland, by famed Scottish historical novelist Sir Walter Scott. The work concerns ruins and historical artifacts from England and Scotland, especially the border area between the two, which was also the border of Roman control of Britain in antiquity. Vol. I dates to 1814 and Vol. II to 1817. Both have striking blue marbled covers with partial leather veneers, and are illustrated with engravings.
