A 1928 Amelia Earhart Commemorative Gilt Brass Medal. Obverse: Image of Amelia Earhart surrounded by the inscription: ‘Ameila Earhart – The First Woman to Cross the Atlantic by Airplane’. Reverse: Fokker seaplane, horseshoe, clover and wishbone with the inscription, ‘Newfoundland June 17 – South Wales June 18 – 1928’. Made by Whitehead & Hoag Co. Diameter: 32 mm. Weight: 9.8 grams. Very good condition.
