Four Dog Engravings from "The Naturalist's Library"

A lot of four hand-colored engravings of dogs, all from the 1843 edition of The Naturalist’s Library, a publication created in forty small illustrated volumes in the 1830-40s. The publication and prints were created by well-listed Scottish naturalist Sir William Jardine (1800-1874). The prints included are titled Oriental Hound, The Alco and Carrier Dog of The Indians, Feral Dog of St. Domingo, and Greyhound Dhole. The prints are all matted in brown behind a thin acetate sleeve and are presented without framing.

- slight wear to the matting.
