An original ‘Portrait of a Young Bearded Man’ by Anne Fleckenstein. This original oil on canvas depicts a rather serious looking bearded man with bare shoulders and a brown background. Painting is done in broad brushstrokes and is shrink wrapped to a flat board.

• Anne Fleckenstein (born ca. 1850) was a German born artist who studied in Dusseldorf and lived in Dresden prior to immigrating to the United States in the early 20th C. Provenance: Relative of consignor.

Condition

Some paint loss in places. Craquelure throughout.
