An original ‘Portrait of a Young Woman’ by Anne Fleckenstein. This oil on canvas depicts a woman with hair in a bun and white collared dress and plain back ground. Painting is done in broad brushstrokes and is shrink wrapped to a flat board.

• Anne Fleckenstein (born ca. 1850) was a German born artist who studied in Dusseldorf and lived in Dresden prior to immigrating to the United States in the early 20th C. Provenance: Relative of consignor.

Condition

Good condition consistent with age. Some damage around the edges. Craquelure throughout.
