A signed original still life watercolor titled In the Morning Light by Indiana Artist Amanda Eller Kirby (1924-2009). The painting depicts a composition of items on a table. The artist’s signature is present to the lower right. The painting is presented under double mats and glass in a gold tone wood frame with a wire hang to the verso. The artist also titled, dated ‘1980’, and signed the piece to the verso of the frame. A listed artist, Kirby won prizes for several of her paintings through the Hoosier Salon and the Indianapolis Art League. Known for her landscapes, still lifes and portraits, Kirby exhibited widely during her lifetime and was a member of the Hamilton County Artist’s Association, the Brown County Art Guild and The Indiana Artist’s Club.
