Rare "Centenary" B&O Railroad Scammell's Designed Lamberton China Ball Pitcher

A rare Centenary B&O Railroad Scammell’s designed Lamberton ball pitcher. Rare 1930’s transferware ball pitcher commissioned on the centenary of the B&O railroad. Desirable pitcher has two central medallions of the Potomac Valley framed in floral wreaths with two smaller medallions of the Carrollton Viaductand a horse drawn car. Medallions on a cobalt blue spatterware ground decorate the pitcher with a floral handle. Pitcher is marked to the bottom, ‘Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, Scrammell’s Lamberton China, 1827 – 1972’. Seal is indicative of 1930’s production.
