A signed Navajo ‘Whirling Logs’ sand painting. Sand paintings are created during curative ceremonies for contacting the gods for healing and harvests and the Whirling Logs story is one of the most enduring themes of Navajo mythology. This sand painting is presented without glass in an oak lined frame and is titled ‘Whirling Logs’ and signed in pencil to the back. The signature begins with a C. but the rest of the signature is unreadable.
