Gustav Stickley Chalet Drop Front Desk
Item Details
An early 20th century Gustav Stickley Arts and Crafts chalet drop front desk. The piece is made of oak, with a top shelf with very slightly curved top rail at the back. The drop front has a decorative insert panel and a round, turned pull. The shelf and drop fronts are mortised in. On opening, the front drops to form a writing surface and the back has rods for holding office materials. Beneath the writing surface is another shelf. The piece rests on two bar feet. Piece is marked to the interior with a worn, red, iconic Gustav Stickley label.
Condition
- minor wear for age, consistent with use.

24.5" W x 46.5" H x 7.0" D
- measured desk while folded. When opened, depth increases to 20".
