A pair of decorative machine made rugs. One is a carpet runner from the Home Decorations Collection, styled after an Afghan Bokhara style pattern, with ’elephant’s foot’ gulls down the length. It has a palette of indigo blue and ivory with taupe and sand beige. Tagged to the reverse, ‘Made in India.’ The smaller of the two, likely woven in India, has a deep indigo/black field with gold, ochre, taupe, sage green, chocolate and very pale burgundy shades. it has a repeated floral palmette pattern with blossoms and foliage in complementary colors to the border. The rug has a white cotton fringe to either end and is unmarked.
