A vintage Arnold Scaasi Boutique evening gown. Dress features a high gathered neckline, puffed sleeves with ruching at the wrists and a cinched waist. Features a gathered sarong skirt with high front slip and draped back. Includes matching ribbon belt. Arnold Scaasi opened his salon in 1964 and became well recognized when Barbara Streisand wore an outfit by him to receive the award for best actress for Funny Girl at the 1969 Academy Awards, and the inaugural gown he designed for Barbara Bush is part of The Smithsonian’s permanent collection.
