Pair of Antique Unframed Prints
Item Details
A pair of unframed antique prints. Included is a lithograph print titled The Emperor Justinian that depicts the Emperor Justinian enthroned before his court. The print is marked ‘Gerbbie & Co.’ and ‘Grauvre Gebbie & Co.’. Also included is a photogravure titled Alaric the Goth as Conqueror in Athens that depicts Alaric surrounded by his retinue as he is being poured a cup of wine. The print is marked ‘Photogravure from the original painting in the Pinacothek Munich by L. Theirsch. Gerbbe & Co. Copyright 1888’. Both of the prints are displayed in off-white mats.
Condition
Signs of foxing and wear to the edges. The prints have become loose in their mats.
Dimensions
Measurement is for the mat. The opening along the front of the mat measures 13.5. × 10.5″. Both of the mats have the same measurements.
