1908 Philippine Coin

Item Details

A Philippine coin, issued during United States administration of the Philippines. It shows a woman, anvil, and Mt Mayon on the front, with a stars and stripes shield mounted by a bald eagle on back and stamped 1908. The one peso coin of this design was minted 1907 through 1912, containing 0.5144 troy ounces of silver. Designed by Melicio Figueroa and Charles Barber and minted in San Francisco (mintage 20,955,000). It is 35 mm, 20 g.
