70s Vintage Gary Saxe Custom Made Suede, Leather and Dyed Fox Fur Coat Embellished with Beads

A 1970s Vintage Gary Saxe designer custom-made dyed suede, leather, and fox fur coat embellished with beads, and made exclusively for Tanya Tucker. The coat is designed with red fox fur and fox tails with patchwork and hand sewn saddle stitching in leather and suede, Lady Liberty style gunmetal buttons down the front and Buffalo coin accents with fox tails, and hand cut leather pockets in front. The back is embellished with multicolored bugle beads designed in a rose and butterfly motif with beaded fringe and metal hollowware beads in silver tone, with matching buckle embellishments in traditional Native American stamped designs, and a center bezel set turquoise stone to the center of the back. The interior is signed by Gary Saxe and reads, ‘Made Especially for Tanya Tucker’. Saxe was known for his unique, one-of-a-kind clothing and was an iconic fashion designer in the 1970s.
