Louis Bunce Serigraph "Summer Windows #1"
Item Details
A serigraph print by modernist painter and printmaker Louis Bunce (1907-1983). This work, titled Summer Window #1 is one of Bunce’s early pieces created in the abstract expressionist style. The print area is divided into multiple blocks each containing thin squiggly linear designs of varying sizes. The piece contains shades of pale pink and orange on a dark background and has small circular areas of pale blue. The work is titled to the lower left and signed to the lower right with the date inscribed of ’46. The print is presented with a white mat behind glass and in a silver toned frame. There is a companion piece, also by Bunce, listed in this sale as item 16ATL066-041.
