Original Rajasthani Gouache Miniature
Item Details
An original Rajasthani gouache miniature on paper. In two separate panels, this work depicts a man and a woman seated on ornate chairs facing each other. They are each shown dressed in traditional Indian clothing and jewelry. Both figures are set on a soft blue green background with miniature florals below them and a small area of sky above. An inscription on the verso reads ‘Jaisalmer Rajasthan 1988.’ This painting is presented behind glass with a linen colored mat and within a gold tone frame with red details.
