A vintage limited edition Sony Trinitron cabinet color television with small matching media storage cabinet. This TV and cabinet were made in celebration of Sony 20th anniversary. Only 1,000 were made and is considered a collector’s item. The cabinet is made from Japanese tamo ash wood. It is hand finished. It was in a line of some of the first remote controlled televisions manufactured in the 1980s. This model has a wood grain roll front that recessed to the left and right of the TV. The TV screen is flanked by cloth covered speakers and a digital channel display. Under the display is a plastic door that opens to display the TV’s control pad which features a channel memory number pad, sound equalizer, color sharpener and other analog controls. Included are two large remote controllers, one inset in wood. On the back of the console are instructions for antennae and auxiliary sound and video equipment hookups. The model number is KV-3000R and the serial number is 010886.
