An exuberant original 1965 mixed media on canvas painting by well-listed American Modernist and abstract artist Paul Maxwell (1925-). The painting uses thick acrylic paint, metallic finishes, and spray paint to build up a gritty, multi-layered composition made of three wide sections of small geometric shapes. The painting is signed and dated in ink to the lower right. It is presented in a thin slat-style wooden frame with gold tone finish and white linen interior trim. Condition
- light denting on canvas where it has rubbed against stretcher bars. Scratching across frame, which is separating slightly at corners.
