Antique Sterling Embroidery Button Scissors
Item Details
A two pair of antique sterling silver embroidery button scissors. These ornate handled scissors with short blades were used for embroidery and button hole cutting. The shiny scissors were made by American silversmiths Hamilton & Hamilton, marked on the slightly curved blade with a ‘star’ symbol and ‘H&H’. This mark was used between 1896 – 1915. The additional scissors are marked ‘Germany’ on the straight pointed blade. Both scissors are marked sterling to the interior of the finger holes. Total weight is 1.30 ozt.
Condition
Some oxidation on blade of Germany scissors.
