"Au Cirque" Restriked Etching After Pablo Picasso
Item Details
A framed restrike etching after a 1905 work titled Au Cirque or At the Circus by Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). Here, the artist has used finely delineated linework to depict a prancing horse with two dancing nudes above. A diagonal grid is laid over the images and to the upper right corner is a reverse oriented title. The white mat is distinguished by black linear borders arranged in an off-kilter fashion, and the piece is finished under glass in a decorative gilt frame.
