E.T. Hurley Signed "Piatt Park" Sepia Etching

A sepia etching titled Piatt Park by Ohio artist Edward Timothy Hurley (American,1869-1950). This art depicts a snow covered scene in the oldest park in Cincinnati, where John Piatt, a steamboat builder donated one acre of land to the city. Hurley is known for his landscape and townscape etchings and paintings, and even art for Rookwood Pottery. This art is signed on the plate E.T. Hurley, dated 1914, and pencil signed by the artist in 1917 with note ‘To Mrs. Burton Closson.’ Art is presented under glass with a white matte in a delicate gold tone frame. The reverse includes a tag ‘University of Cincinnati Fine Arts Collection.’
