An ornate antique chest. The chest has a serpentine overhung top, with three drawers, each decorated with hand-painted porcelain medallions with colorful scenes of romantic couples framed by gold-tone, cast metal frames attached to the handles. The corners of the chest, the two front legs, and the center of the bottom skirt are decorated with gold-tone cast metal pieces. Each of the three wood dovetailed drawers feature string inlay, and have ornate, gold-tone cast metal escutcheons surrounding the keyholes.The chest locks with its original ornate brass key.
