Antique Primitive Table and Stool
Item Details
An antique primitive table and stool. The table, designed with simple lines, straight, tapering legs and a plank top, features joined and tenon construction, with a single, small drawer with turned wood knob. The top of the table appears to be newer than the base, with the base being circa 1850, and the top circa 1900. The oak stool features a round plank seat with splayed legs, which are narrower at the top, flaring wider towared the bottoms. The legs are joined with stretchers along the four sides and under the seat. Single-slot brass screws affix the tenons under the seat to the legs.
