Indian Head Penny 1862 and Commemorative Coin 1874

A pair of coins, an Indian Head penny dated 1862 and a 100th Anniversary of American Independence coin dated 1874. The Indian Head penny is in a plastic case with a red label stating ‘XF’, but no official grade. The penny was designed by James B. Longacre in 1859 and struck at the Philadelphia mint, as evidenced by lack of a mint mark. The 100th Anniversary commemorative coin was designed by William Barber and is made of ‘white metal’, an alloy of antimony and copper. The coin commemorates the nation’s 100th anniversary of independence. On one side is a kneeling Lady Liberty with a sheathed sword. The other, she is holding laurel wreaths over the heads of Arts and Industry.
Condition
Both coins show age and patina. Penny is in a plastic case that is cracked. The large coin comes with part of the original box.
