Antique Silver Brooch and Costume Findings
Item Details
An antique silver and enameled brooch and jewelry findings. Both come with hanging loops at the tops. An enameled and hand-painted oval brooch within a glass-front oval bezel is hand-painted with a woman in profile, wearing a red dress with a black overmantle, with a netted cap in her blond-red hair. The silver setting features a crown on the top, which is set with five imitation pearls along the top, with marcasite accents. The back of the brooch is marked ‘800’, but tested to 80% silver. Total weight of the brooch is 0.250 ozt. A pair of matched, silver-tone metal jewelry findings, approximately 11/16-inch long, are set with imitation pearls and glass stones. Though the findings are marked ‘Majorica’ and ‘800’ to the verso, they tested to 68% silver.
