Original Terra Cotta Sculpture by Lois Keener

An original terra cotta sculpture by American artist Lois Keener (1923-2013). Work of art is titled The Plot and depicts two Native American children discussing a plan. The sculpture is based on an interaction between Keeners two grandsons. Figural sculptures displayed from the waist up are mounted to a wooden block pedestal, featuring a beveled edge and a dark stain. Item is signed ‘Keener ’91’ to the back side. Bottom is lined with felt for scratch resistance purposes.
