A lithograph on wove paper after Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973) titled Visage de la Paix VIII. The lithograph represents the eighth drawing in a series of twenty-nine that Picasso completed in December of 1950. It depicts the likeness of Francoise Gilot, Picasso’s muse from 1944-53 and the mother of his two children. with wide eyes and narrow nose above defined lips, a dove overhead carrying a leaved branch which forms the crown of the subject’s head. Inscribed to the top left ‘5.12.50. VIII’. Set behind glass in a goldtone frame, unsigned.
