Moses Soyer Stone Lithograph "Seated Ballerina"

A vintage framed stone lithograph by well-listed Russian-American artist, Moses Soyer (1899-1975), titled Seated Ballerina, signed in stone to the lower right. The image depicts a somber ballerina in leotard and tutu, seated on a stool with a downcast gaze upon a bouquet cradled in her arms. Soyer’s wife, Ida, was a dancer and a recurring subject matter in his work. The lithograph is matted in white, behind glass, in a silver tone brushed metal frame. A certificate of authenticity is attached to verso from Sociéte de Vérification de la Nouvelle Gravure Internationale, attesting this is an original lithograph by Soyer. Soyer’s works are in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of New York.
