An artist’s proof woodcut print titled Pathway by James Kirby (1931-1992). The print abstractly depicts a large red tree against blue sky with grass. It is signed titled, and numbered in pencil to the lower margin. Presented behind glass in a wooden frame with natural finish; ready to hang.

Kirby is known for his woodcuts which were influenced by his love of Japanese woodblock printing. He discovered his love of the medium while studying in Chicago in the 1950s.

Condition

- print is rippled and lightly crinkled around edges and finish of frame is worn.
